Mrs. Michelle Zaia
I am a lifelong resident of central and southern New York, spending the majority of my time in the Hamilton area. I graduated from Hamilton Central School in 1995. I entered the work force for five years before attending college. I enrolled at SUNY Morrisville where I obtained an Associates’ degree in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. I then transferred my degree to SUNY Cortland where I completed my BA in Adolescence Education in Social Studies and History in 2005 and remained at Cortland for my Master’s degree in Literacy Education. I worked for the Utica City school district for two years teaching grades 9 through 12. I moved on to Unadilla Valley for four years teaching Global History and geography one and two, and spent another three years at East Middle School in Binghamton teaching 7th grade Social Studies.
