Mrs. Cossette
I have been a teacher at Brookfield Central School for a long time; this will be my 37th year! I started as the Sixth Grade teacher, taught second, kindergarten and fifth, and am now enjoying being back in the Fifth Grade. My love of books and reading help to make me very enthusiastic about the literature that students are required to read. I believe that all students can be successful readers and writers. I love history and enjoy teaching about our country's past. Teaching Chemistry is my favorite Science unit, and I love the challenges Math brings.
I received a two-year degree in Early Childhood education from SUNY Cobleskill. I then went on to SUNY Cortland, where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education, minoring in English. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education, majoring in Curriculum Instruction from SUNY Cortland, as well.
I live in Waterville with my husband and our cat, Pete. I have three grown children and four grandchildren. I love being part of Brookfield School and have spent my entire teaching career here!
